MAS penthouse

Overlooking the iconic MAS museum in Antwerp, this 2017 penthouse project, designed by Dieter Vander Velpen, celebrates material purity and quiet luxury. Il Granito used a single block of Travertino Classico Romano, vein cut, to craft the entire interior and terrace: floors, stairs, custom furniture, and even the outdoor pool. Every element was cut and assembled with precision, including a monolithic staircase joined entirely in mitre, without visible seams. The kitchen features integrated doors and a sink carved from travertine, while the bathroom vanity includes solid drawers in the same stone. Warm walnut accents soften the space, creating a harmonious balance between natural texture and refined geometry.
