In 2018, architect Dieter Vander Velpen transformed a Hasselt loft into a minimalist sanctuary of stone and light. For this project, Angelo Rizzi invited both the client and architect to Tuscany to hand-select the perfect Calacatta marble straight from the source. Il Granito then translated this raw material into a meticulously detailed interior: two sculptural kitchen islands and a niche, all crafted entirely from Calacatta. Doors, drawers, and even the integrated sink were carved from the same marble. Every element was precisely drawn and bookmatched to ensure a seamless continuation of the veining. A masterclass in precision, where every line in the stone tells a story.
